There are two study groups starting in March 2019 to help you study for the NALA Certification Exam.

The NALA Certification Exam is a national exam which consists of two parts: knowledge and skills.  The knowledge portion of the exam is multiple choice and is given year-round.  The areas of testing include: the U.S. legal system, civil litigation, contracts, corporate/commercial law, criminal law and procedure, estates and probate, real estate and property, torts, and professional and ethical responsibilities.  The skills portion covers writing (English writing conventions and clarity of expression) and critical thinking (reading comprehension, analysis of information, and decision making).  The skills portion can only be taken once the knowledge portion has been passed.  The skills portion of the exam is offered three times per year.

The study group has two co-chairs this year and will have one meeting north of Austin and one meeting south of Austin.

Will Cox will be leading the “south” study group.   Email the Study Group for more information.
